SALIS Alumni
„Looking back, my time at SALIS was truly special. The class community was close-knit and supportive, and the atmosphere of curiosity and encouragement made every day enjoyable. My teachers were exceptional: knowledgeable, dedicated, and incredibly warm. They not only taught their subjects brilliantly but also cared deeply about our personal and academic growth. The experience prepared me perfectly for studying in the UK at a prestigious and academically demanding university. I feel I have gained not only a strong academic foundation but also resilience, perspective, and a lasting network that continues to shape me today.„

„Growth“ – „Opportunities“ – „Good memories“
„Warm and engaging teachers,“ who “made a very positive impact on all of us by being very open, very down to earth”
Alumni-chosen Annual Teacher Recognition
This year, our alumni have chosen to honour Mr. Jon Parnell, with many of our alumni pointing him out as a teacher that made a positive impact on them. Mr. Parnell joined SALIS in 2021 and teaches IB Mathematics, Physics, Economics and Theory of Knowledge. He is originally from the UK but grew up in Canada, and also lived in Sweden before coming to Salzburg.
What exactly about Mr. Parnell do his students appreciate?
„It is important to have a teacher who can use humor to pass on knowledge to the students. It makes the learning process colorful, through a very stressful time.„
